The CZECH – AMERICAN HORN DUO will make its West Coast premiere at UCSB on Thursday, April 9. The event will be held at Geiringer Hall in the Music Department from 8:00 – 9:30 pm, and is free of charge. The Duo is comprised of Jirí Havlík of the Czech Philharmonic, and UCSB Professor Dr. Steven Gross. The program comprises a recital, followed by a masterclass and clinic by Mr. Havlík. Featured works include those by Joseph Reicha, Johannes Brahms, and contemporary American composer Kerry Turner. Jirí Havlík will also conduct his own works.
